It supposedly features a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists a 500 bhp (372 kW) twin-charged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric that develop 390 bhp (290 kW) – an interesting mix, I might add, and I’m quite curious of the multitude of technical details that make that small engine so powerful. Nonetheless, this setup enables the supercar to have maximum output of roughly 850 bhp (633 kW), which can’t be ignored.
In terms of performance, the C-X75 prototype can accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than three seconds, 0-100 mph (160 km/h) in less than six seconds and reach a top speed of roughly 220 mph (354 km/h). The model also has an electric-only mode available, with a range of approximately 40 miles (64 km) – you were expecting more?!
I don’t know about you, but to me the overall design doesn’t really “scream” Jaguar, as is should; it’s like a mix of supercars – I see bits of Ferrari, McLaren, Audi and a hint of Lamborghini. It should be fun to drive, though.
